The Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS) is the largest (18 Faculties, 1,252 researchers, 24,743 students), oldest and highest-rated agricultural academic institution in Poland, the forth oldest in Europe.
The Faculty of Horticulture, Biotechnology and Landscape Architecture (FHB&LA) is:
- among the largest Faculties of the WULS (12 Departments, 117 researchers, 1,563 students),
- among the highest rated Faculties of the WULS – in Sep. 2010 awarded prestigious 1st category in the national ranking of research institutions,
- the most active in research, with the highest number of currently active research grants and contracts (in 2009 only – 7 international grants, 75 national grants and research contracts).
